The main stope of Greenside Mine, Cumbria.
Taken in the massive stope of Greenside Mine.
A stope is the void left after the ore has been mined from the lode. As you can see in this mine it has left a massive chamber.

Taken with my Olympus OM1 with a 28mm wide angle lens. The camera was set up on a tripod and the shutter was left open in total darkness whilst Bill and Duncan fired the flashguns manually.
