The rift passage in Kat Knot Cave

High up in the rift passage of KatKnot Cave
Bill Lakin high up in the entrance rift passage of Kat Knot Cave, North Yorkshire.

This shot was as difficult to get as it looks. Bill climbed up into the rift carrying a Vivitar 283 flashgun set to automatic exposure. I then had to climb up into the rift further back and try to find a good stance across the rift to shoot from. Once we had both struggled into a decent position we had to turn our cap lamps off, The camera's shutter was then opened on a time exposure whilst Bill set the flashgun off pointing forwards. I took three shots to be certain of the exposure, it wasn't a place I was keen to come back to.
