Jökulsárlón

When the icebergs have been exposed to the air after they've broken from the glacier they progressively turn from clear blue to opaque white. Dust from past volcanic explosions can be seen streaking through the ice. The still water of the lagoon mirrors them wonderfully. This particular iceberg is the size of a two storey house above the water. The boatman isn't allowed too close to the icebergs for fear of them overturning as the ice mass below the water slowly melts. Luckily they mostly roll at night when the air temperature is lowest.

Canon EOS 35mm with 100-300mm USM lens using Fuji Superia 200 colour negative film.
